It can realize the structural cognition of electric power steering assist system, learning the control principle of electric power steering system, voltage/current signal detection during the working process of the electric power steering system, common fault setting and troubleshooting of electric power steering system.

ii. Features

1. Select BYD Qin PLUS-EV pure electric vehicle original electric power steering system. It is installed on the bench without changing the relative arrangement position of the original vehicle. Intuitively recognize the main components such as front suspension shock absorption, steering column, rack and pinion steering gear, electric power steering gear, and electric power control module. The low-voltage control lines are all original vehicle parts, and the length is increased. To enable students to understand the components and connections of the electric power steering system as soon as possible.

2. The EPS electric power steering system applies the latest electronic technology and high-performance motor control technology to the automobile steering system on the basis of the mechanical steering system. Based on the original steering system of the vehicle, the EPS system has been modified and added the following parts: EPS electronic control unit, torque and angle sensor, EPS motor, etc. The transmission mechanism of the system is driven by a motor, which replaces the traditional mechanical hydraulic mechanism. It provides real-time steering wheel assistance to drivers in a variety of environments. The bench steering module leads to the detection port, which is the same as the original vehicle, and directly measures the control signal in the original position.

3. EPS electric power steering system consists of the following parts: (a) torque and angle sensor, (b) vehicle speed sensor, (c) EPS electronic control unit, (d) EPS motor, and (e) related mechanical structure. The EPS system is powered by an EPS motor, and the size of assist force is adjusted and controlled in real time by the EPS electronic control unit. Different assist forces are provided according to different speeds to improve the steering characteristics of the vehicle, reduce the parking berth and the steering force at low speed, improve the steering stability during high-speed driving, and thus improve the active safety of the vehicle.

4. The training board is equipped with a teaching board, which fully displays the working principle diagram of the electric power steering system, and installs detection terminals. With the help of tools such as multimeters, it can detect changes in parameters in real time under various conditions. The length of the teaching board is not less than 1600mm, which can satisfy 2 students at the same time for testing and learning in different parts.

5. The training bench consists of a platform and a teaching board. The platform is placed horizontally and the main components are installed. Four casters, two swivel casters and two directional wheels are installed at the bottom of the platform, which can move flexibly. At the same time, the swivel casters have a self-locking device, which can fix the position. The outer diameter is not less than 5 inches, the rolling resistance of casters is small, and it is quiet and wear-resistant.

6. The training platform is also equipped with a mainstream electric power steering gear, which is displayed by split cutting, so as to clearly understand the internal structure and working principle of the electric power steering gear.

7. Equipped with mechanical in-situ design, by connecting the replaceable fuse in the middle of the original vehicle wiring harness, the mechanical circuit failure can be realized, and there are no less than 6 mechanical failure points.

8. Equipped with a special clamp meter for new energy vehicles and a high-voltage test pen, which are used to control line voltage, current and other parameters measurement and orange high-voltage loop high-current non-contact measurement.

9. The base frame of the training platform is welded with alloy steel profiles, which are strong and reliable, and the size of the main material is not less than 40*40mm. The main profiles on both sides of the front part are made of semi-circular arc bending transition, and the upper part is protected by stainless steel handrails at the front and rear to avoid students being injured.
