WorldSkills Competition Day 1 | Craftsmanship Showcases Skills on the Huangpu River
The banks of the Huangpu River were ablaze with lights, as global craftsmanship converged in Shanghai. On the evening of September 22, the 48th WorldSkills Competition opened at the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Center. Premier Li Qiang attended the opening ceremony and declared the competition open. This prestigious global vocational skills competition, known as the "World Skills Olympics," officially began its Shanghai-hosted phase.

At the opening ceremony, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the competition. The letter pointed out that the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is accelerating, profoundly impacting the global skills development landscape. The WorldSkills Competition precisely addresses the needs of industrial development, providing an important platform for skilled personnel worldwide to refine their skills and learn from each other. This year's WorldSkills Competition, themed "Skills Change the World, Skills Illuminate Futures," features 64 competition events across six major fields, including seven newly added cutting-edge and emerging events, setting four new records.

FXB's meticulous craftsmanship ensures a smooth and exciting start to the vehicle-related competitions. As a silver sponsor of this year's WorldSkills Competition, FXB provided comprehensive equipment support and technical assistance for both the Automotive Technology and Heavy Vehicle Technology events. These two events closely align with the development trends of the modern vehicle industry, focusing on core practical skills such as vehicle diagnostics, disassembly, assembly, and maintenance. They are key competitive events within the Transportation and Logistics category of this year's WorldSkills Competition.

Automotive technology competition
Closely aligned with the transformation of the automotive industry, the competition covers practical assessments of gasoline-powered, new energy, and intelligent connected vehicles. Benchmarked against real-world international repair scenarios, the competition assesses fault detection, component disassembly and assembly, system calibration, and vehicle maintenance, comprehensively testing the contestants' diagnostic capabilities. It transforms industry job standards into WorldSkills exam questions, providing a platform for global automotive skills talent to exchange and compete.

Heavy vehicle technical competition
Focusing on commercial vehicle maintenance, the competition assesses participants' skills in areas such as the repair, fault location, and restoration of heavy-duty vehicle power, chassis, hydraulic, and electrical systems. As crucial equipment in the logistics and engineering fields, the competition utilizes equipment closely mimicking real-world working conditions, aligns with WorldSkills standards, and tests participants' troubleshooting approaches, operational procedures, and emergency response capabilities. It also promotes international exchange and mutual learning of heavy-duty vehicle skill standards.

The light of skill shines brightly on the Huangpu River. The first day of the competition is in full swing, with young skilled workers from around the world honing their craft and writing a new chapter in the lives of these skilled artisans in Shanghai. As the competition progresses, FXB will continue to support the event, witnessing every battle of skill and appreciating every shining moment of craftsmanship, together writing a new chapter in how skills change the world and illuminate futures!
